I recently learned that Sonic Teams upcoming Sonic game, Sonic Unleashed(aka the game every single Sonic fan hopes will bring our blue hero back to his original glory). First thing I learned was that Sonic Unleashed will feature levels set in China and in New York. So far what I know about the China level is that you will be able to run on the Great Wall(oh how we've all wanted to do that as Sonic), and New York will probably be similar to the Europe level or Sonic Adventure's Speed Highway At Dawn level. The New York level will hav eyou going from building to building and whatnot, there are endless possibilities. Not to mention you'll be able to explore in the HUB levels so you're basically walking Sonic through the streets of New York. You will have to talk to different people for mini missions and to get from place to place.
Despite SEGA in a recent article in the Nintendo Power Magazine stating that Sonic is the only playable character, you will be able to do miniature missions as Tails. I am not sure what those missions are exactly, but me a long with other fans have been speculating that it could involve transporting Sonic to new locations via the Tornado.
There is a snow level and instead of snowboards you will get to ride in a bobsled. That is all for now, oh here's a funny, SEGA goofed and accidently showed a small piece of Werewolf Sonic meeting Amy Rose for the first time, the employess jumped in front of the screen to stop the interviewer from seeing it. Oh SEGA, always goofing as usual.
So far we have been informed of a Europe level, China level, New York level, Africa level, and an Ice level, not to mention some other levels. I'm not sure if that will be all of the levels, but I do know these levels will be based on real life places and since this is the real world Sonic Team has many different levels to choose from.
Before I go, one other thing I need to mention is that Sonic will be able to perform tricks(maybe, do not quote me on this) by repeatedly pressing a certain button, my guess is that it will be like Sonic Rush. More information on this title will be revealed during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) during July 14-17.
